Every once in a awhile a wedding day throws us the weather trifecta: rain, sun, clouds. It’s always so bizarre when it happens because as you go through images it seems like the day happened over a weekend versus just a few hours! That’s the case with this Barren Ridge Vineyard wedding!

Erin and Brian originally wanted to get married in Jamaica but after realizing not everyone they loved could celebrate with them, they quickly changed to the sweetest little vineyard 40 minutes from Charlottesville, Barren Ridge Vineyards! I have known Erin for YEARS and when I met Brian during their engagement session, it was so clear why she fell in love with him!! He was so incredibly sweet to her and had the best sense of humor! Their wedding day was gorgeous and everything came together so perfectly, quite a feat when planning a destination wedding!

The girls got ready about 15 minutes from the vineyard and we headed over for portraits. When we got out of the car you could see the storm in the distance over the mountains and it gave us the most beautiful sky! We weren’t’ out there 5 minutes before the rain starting falling, right when the guys showed up and we were supposed to be outside! Luckily the reception area was already set up and gorgeous we did pictures inside. After checking the forecast everyone was confident the rain would clear for the out-door ceremony and it did!! MAN did it clear! Completely clear skies, blazing sun, and lots of tears: their ceremony was the sweetest.

We were able to do portraits outside right after the ceremony, then go inside to cool down because it was so steamy out!! Thankfully we had built another 15 minutes into the timeline at sunset and had the most beautiful skies!!! They have so many portraits just from that extra time!! Their reception was full of some great dancing skills, Brian stealing his cake from Erin and topped with a fun sparkler exit! Hope you two are enjoying Italy!!!!
