Shew it feels so bizarre to be blogging my second wedding of the year midway through September, but honestly, I’m just so dang grateful to be sharing a wedding AND that it is Sarah and James’!

Culpepper Barn provided the perfect outdoor location with the most beautiful weather to let people social distance. Culpepper is beautiful with such GORGEOUS light in the afternoon (just wait and see)!

Usually, I get to meet my couples before their wedding day but because of James’ job and their big move to Texas shortly after his return from deployment, coupled with limited travel back to the 757 AND COVID…would you believe that their wedding day was my first in-person meeting?! I was honestly so nervous but quickly realized I had nothing to worry about when James said hi and I walked in to Sarah’s getting ready space!!

James and Sarah met online and quickly realized this was it for both of them. Their relationship got a chance to develop over phone calls, texts, emails, letters, carrier pigeons, smoke signals…you get the drift. It’s really clear they have such a solid foundation when you’re around them, the way James looks at her is so endearing and like he just wants to take care of her forever.

Their first look and vows to each other had me in tears behind the camera!! Sarah even snagged herself a veil just for pictures (it was much longer than her ceremony veil) and I was SO happy we could make those work on their special day! Together, surrounded by the closest of close family and friends they promised forever!
