Taking a break from wedding this summer has been so refreshing but I have to be honest, I was SO ready to get back it!! It made me appreciate them somehow even more than before and this one was the BEST way to start off my fall season!

Collin & Christina held their destination wedding at the beautiful Shadowcreek Wedding & Events in Purcellville, a stunning barn style venue nestled on the rolling hills!! After their engagement session, which instantly went down as one of my favorite of all times with the dusk pictures on the beach, I have drooled over every wedding detail and sneak peek and stalked Shadowcreek’s instagram!

The girls were all getting ready in the bridal suite when we got there and Collin was relaxing in the grooms room before the first look! Since they wanted to join enjoy their cocktail party we had to get all their portraits done prior to the ceremony (including most family formals) and the weather was beautiful for end of August! There was a slight breeze, partly cloudy conditions and a high of 87 and sunshine!!! Shadowcreek is such a great venue because it has the best back patio for a ceremony, side yard and patio for cocktail our plus a huge inside reception spot. The only thing that made this day even better was getting to shoot with my best friend, aka the dream team!

Okay I have to mention this reception for a quick minute…it was the BEST kind of party EVER!! With a bride karaoke, limbo party with the grooms belt and someone whipped out a bubble gun I have so many awesome pictures I can’t wait for them to see!
