Hermitage Museum & Gardens Wedding | Whitney & Bobby

Wedding

Oh my gosh I have raved so much about how much I adore Hermitage Museum & Gardens weddings right? It is my hands down favorite venue in Hampton Roads because it’s nearly impossible to take a bad picture regardless of the weather, it can accommodate a wide array of styles and the view over the water makes it feel massive! So when Whitney and Bobby first contacted me, I was instantly excited but it was even easier to be thrilled for this day as I got to know them!
Let me just tell you about this girl, Whitney is such a freaking gem. I cannot even tell you how jealous I am of the girls who have been lucky enough to be friends with her for years and I’m only a year in! We connected instantly so by her wedding day there were definitely quite a few tears shed by me behind the camera! The way Bobby so totally is smitten with her is the sweetest thing and watching them plan their dream day has been so fun!
I walked into a room full of girls, laughing and enjoying the day, no stress and just ready to see their girl down the aisle. I loved that they had suites at The Main in Norfolk because the space and light are fantastic! We headed over to The Hermitage for a first look and bridal party pictures prior to the ceremony so Whitney and Bobby could enjoy their cocktail hour as well! The pure joy on Bobby’s face when he saw her was SO sweet!!
I loved that this whole day we were not rushed. We were just cruising on schedule and I felt like we just got to really enjoy each moment! They had the PERFECT end of summer/beginning of fall weather, dream team of vendors who all hustled to make this enormous wedding go off without a hitch and the best of friends celebrating with them!! I am SO sad it’s over!!!
One thing I want to mention: Earlier this year, Whitney called me because her Nana (who was in her mid 90s!) may not be in the best health come her wedding day. I drove out to Nana’s house and saw Whit and her cousin all dressed up and we were able to take some sweet images with Nana and Whitney it was so special to me. Shortly after, Nana went to Heaven and I couldn’t help but cry when Whitney let me know. I’ve chosen to include just a few images of her even though they were not on the actual wedding day, because I know in my heart she as definitely there shaking it! 😉
