When I first decided to start my own business, I had a decent amount of knowledge about managing a small business. My background is in business and I’ve spent every year since I could working for small businesses. I am grateful to my three jobs for all teaching me about their industry, retail vs service, banking, taxes, etc. These bosses all trusted me with their businesses and I am thankful for that!

What I need to lead off with is that I am a diehard control freak. I don’t like other people to be involved if it’s something I feel  I can learn on my own! I think from the outside looking in, a lot of people assume this process: shoot pretty pictures, edit pretty pictures, post pretty pictures. What you don’t see or hear about it everything that leads up to that and all that follows! I have to keep track of payments and contracts, respond to emails in a timely fashion, reconcile bank statements, log mileage and expenses, pay sales tax, send invoices and questionnaires, add in to that be a momma and a wife! PHEW!!! I t can really be exhausting some days.

I saw a girl in a private Facebook group talk about 17hats. She had a code and offered it up! I tried and quickly pushed it to the back burner. I had tried to implement it during one of my busiest times of the year and it was a total fail!

Once everything quieted down I was able to really dig in and check it all out. Let me tell you, I LOVE IT! If you are running a small business, I cannot shout it’s awesomeness enough!!! It allows me to save templates so I am not typing the same reminder email over and over, invoice clients, send questionnaires, etc. The best part? It can all be done ONLINE!!! Oh my word ya’ll, this is such a lifesaver! Where ever I am, I can log in and find paperwork. It also makes it so much more professional in my opinion! Not to mention, a huge factor in my business is it serves my clients better!!! They deserve a streamlined experience, easy to use, and professional process!
