There is nothing like getting to finally hug my couples in person! When I first chatted with Nate and Shannon, they were really hoping to get engagements done this fall in Alexandria, near their home and a spot they love to go to. SOMEHOW we found a weekday where not only did the fall colors still dominate BUT that we were all available AND the weather was so nice!!! I mean is that not the trinity of photography or what?!

So we started our session at the coolest little restaurant on the water in Alexandria, Virtue, and I will definitely be back to try the menu! It looked so good, had a great vibe in the loft area upstairs and the drink menu looked fantastic! Since we didn’t really have must have spots on the photo walk, we made a huge circle from our cars and took advantage of all the charming spots! If you have not been to Alexandria, it is such a beautiful area in Northern Virginia.

Shannon and Nate met almost a year to their engagement date. They each had signed up for online dating service and matched, needless to say the service nailed it on the first try!! Over the summer they took a European vacation and Nate proposed while on a boat ride in Spain! These two are so kind and service hearted, I just loved being in their presence and am so so excited to be back at Shadowcreek for their August wedding!!!
