March is truly in like a lion this year in Virginia Beach and that was definitely the case for Kelsey and Nick’s engagements! Since they were in town for only a brief moment trying to wrap up wedding plans we didn’t have a back up date for their engagements. The weather had been great all day, warm and sunny, when an hour before their session dark rain clouds came from nowhere!! Thankfully, they were awesome and down for whatever!
We pulled up to an empty parking lot and I told them if we only got 15 minutes at least we got that time! Somehow, we lucked out with more than that and made it WORK!! They were so good, despite the much colder than planned for temperatures and wind.
Kelsey and Nick met when she had moved back home after college and was working at a local restaurant. Nick had asked her out, but Kelsey was only interested as friends. When she told him that, he let her know that was fine for her but that’s not how he was going into the date and obviously he was right! As someone who knew she was gonna get married three months into dating Kenny,
They’re planning a sweet beach wedding in just a couple of months, with their closest people in the area that Nick grew up in. I loved getting to spend some time with them and see how they responded to shooting under pressure! They were so go with the flow that if they could balance this crazy shoot that started out so rushed with just the utmost ease, I’m confident their wedding day will be the best ever!!
