When Michelle originally booked me, we were going to be anniversary buddies since they were planning on a May 30 wedding and while we know that didn’t happen I will still always think of them as my anniversary buds!
Michelle and Blake were able to have their wedding in their own backyard. If you remember their engagements, we shot in their yard and I asked WHY they weren’t getting married there! It is the most beautiful spot on the water in Norfolk. When their neighbors (who are SO fantastic oh my word) let them use their yard too for more space, it was a no brainer. Last minute changes to notify the guests of the venue swap were made and the weather that came through was absolutely STUNNING for a clear tent to come in and everyone to dine, dance and drink the night away!
Michelle has an impeccable style so getting to see her wedding day through her design eye was a TREAT. I LOVED all the vases for centerpieces, ties of blue and white, jewelry, shoes, dress, and definitely that custom denim jacket!
I have to shout out to her awesome DJ who played the saxophone for cocktail hour, where have you been hiding Ezra?! SUCH a talent, I really hope to see him at more 2021 and beyond weddings!
