I drove down a driveway of tress on fire, these maples saturated in the most gorgeous reds and oranges, and I said to myself “Is this real life?” As I walked into the most amazing bridal suite I’ve been in. I say suite but it was really three separate rooms on the second floor of the stunning Belmont Country Club. Tons of natural light, a bathroom with a claw foot tub, and pretty much the best “getting ready” food I’ve ever seen. Ashley gave me the biggest hug and just reminded me she was so excited to see me. It was the most beautiful fall day in Ashburn, Virginia. Kind of overcast with the trees looking like a perfect Pinterest pin. Nathan let me know he had just been emotional all day so be prepared but honestly his emotions were so heart warming for me. He was so excited to marry Ashley and his reaction to her letter is priceless. Their ceremony was sweet and authentic, Nathan’s reaction to seeing her come down the aisle after foregoing a first look makes me love the traditionalism of the whole idea. At one point the wind was carrying her veil off and her dad stood up, pushed it back in and hugged her. Just another time he has been there to love and care for her, always keeping her first. I just have to commend the Belmont Country Club. Erin was there for everything all day and really made sure the day went off without a hitch. I love seeing a venue coordinator put their couples at such a high priority as this one did and it was admirable! Not only did she look out for them, she really made sure to check on us vendors, making sure we were fed first, had cake, drinks, stayed on timeline, had a heads up of what was next, etc! That means so much to me and I just have to rave about them. I’m hoping my paths cross again with this place because it was really a dream to shoot at!
