This post is so strange for me to write. You see, I could SWEAR that this kid was born yesterday. Nearly 11 pounds and well past his due date, the sixth Carlson kid; really our missing piece. Now, in the sake of total honesty: I was not thrilled with my parents announcement. I swore they were going to tell us we were going to Walt Disney World, but nope another baby. He quickly became so loved and like he was never missing! Poor kid, he endured us dressing him in doll clothes and then our little girl clothes (my dad was NOT thrilled about that!) Then, makeovers and haircuts, and now we still enjoy dressing him.

He is the most AMAZING uncle to my babes, loves those two boys so so much. They return his affection ten fold now. Maverick is enamored with his “Bubba” and always asks for him. It real life that he may not be here in a year, off to college or trade or the military. It breaks my heart and makes it soar with pride all at the same time. He is such a polite kid, respectful to women (I mean duh!), well dressed and has a bright future.
