This past Friday my best friend and I headed up to Northern Virginia for a weekend of shopping, eating, drinking, laughing, dreaming and LEARNING! We were so excited to be attending our first photography workshop/conference, CLIC, in Alexandria. We met some great new people, learned ALOT from all the speakers and really walked away knowing we can better ourselves. I will say CLIC made me realize it is time for me to step out, really spread my wings and see where this business can go. I know there will be those who make the jump with me and others who don’t, but I gained the confidence in myself to know that’s okay. It’s time to BE BRAVE.

So enough of that! On Saturday we went to the Outlets and then lunched at National Harbor. We ended up driving back out there that night to head to a dueling piano bar and had a BLAST!! This is definitely a sweet little spot for a getaway, bachelorette party, etc.! Just so much offered in a small area. I love things like that! Also, not all these photos are mine. Amanda and I shared one camera so you’ll see some images on her site too!

Sunday morning we headed out to Georgetown Dry Bar to have our hair done! What a fun place! It’s a salon that only does blowouts and styles, no cuts or colors. Kenny said only I could find somewhere to pay for my hair to be done and still leave with no cut or color 😉 BUT it was fun! The girls there were great and we looked fab after we left! After hair, we explored Georgetown and made our way to brunch. We were told in Drybar that’s what Georgetown in known for so off we went!

We were part of a handful of people who volunteered to get it all set up and ready for the rest of the attendees! All of us girls hustled to get this empty, gorgeous room, turned into a warm and inviting spot for us to learn, grow, ask questions and be vulnerable! I learned so much and was thrilled to hear the speakers.

These are my sweet grandparents, they’ve been married 60 years this year and a huge reason of why I do what I do. More on that later 😉
