I am so excited these two FINALLY are on my blog! Meghan and Will met when they were both serving together in the US Navy and have been together for years. Will proposed to Meghan after getting his and her family down to his home in Georgia, but she was on to him. She said he had been acting weird being VERY insistent that her family was there (he said he wasn’t that obvious) and she was on to him. 😀

We met in downtown Norfolk in the Freemason District, one of my favorite little spots for that cobblestone street and city feel. While the weather wasn’t totally on our side (it was quite windy and chilly), these two took it in stride and just snuggled and laughed. They told me about their Great Dane Bruce and we bonded over being large dog parents (Kenny & I had a harlequin Dane named Boss!) and our love of the beach. I’m so glad we found this little nook of ivy colored walls because it not only blocked the wind but no on was there!! Considering the streets were very crowded with ” this was a treat!

After downtown we headed over to East Beach for some more casual beach pictures and shot until the sun went down! These two are so relaxed with each other and are truly champions for one another. They are the perfect example of my definition of marriage “finding someone who walks with you in life as you work on completing yourself”. They’ll be spending time apart now that Meghan has been hired as a firefighter closer to her hometown and still have wedding planning to do. It’s so easy to see she will make the MOST beautiful bride!! Congratulations to you two!
