Oh April, spring showers and crazy temperatures but you also bring in PORTRAIT SEASON!!! Can I get an amen?! Typically when mid November rolls around, I am so looking forward to my downtime but by mid March I am itching to shoot and the weather rarely cooperates here in Norfolk, VA!

Kelli & Mike are planning the ultimate fun wedding this July in Wintergreen! Since their schedules can be so hard to line up we planned this engagement session way in advance and then of course the day we shoot it is SO cold and windy. Kelli never missed a beat and you’d think it was a perfectly warm late spring day with her!

We roamed the streets and talked about the plans for their wedding (July 4 inspired but not themed!) the food (corn dogs and strawberry shortcakes!!) and how the real goal is to just spend the week with their favorite people in a beautiful place for a destination wedding!! Thank you Kelli and Mike for trusting me when I made you stand in a parking alley and for not judging me when I thought the squirrel was a rat!!
