Typically when the weather forecast calls for rain over 30%, I reschedule sessions. Meet Jordy and Taylor, Pacific Northwest transplants who are planning their 2018 wedding back home and wrapping up their lives in Hampton Roads. Taylor is headed back for work and Jordy will be shortly behind him! The weather made their engagement session so romantic with the most beautiful light so I think we came out on top with this one.
Jordy had her heart set on a boho engagement session in a field, but with all the rain my go to’s were pretty soppy! She went one day after school (she’s at Sentara Heart Hospital working on her nurse practioner-aka SUPER SMART!) and explored First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach to find this first spot. I knew the beach side HAD to have some open areas we could set up the awesome teepee Taylor made, so we parked and just started walking. As were walking, I saw a tiny cut through so we followed it and lucked out with the prettiest spot!!! The light was so pretty at the top of this dune!! We had a good amount of time before the next storm band rolled in and as we wrapped the rain started…perfect timing!!! I loved the teepee setup so much that Taylor made. Jordy crafted her fire crown and found the rest at local craft stores.

What beautiful pictures! How could she miss, though, with the special people she had to work with? You look so incredibly happy, and we are so thrilled for you (and Uncle Jim is REALLY pleased that you picked his birthday for your wedding date). We love you and wish you God’s richest blessings always.
