It was so easy for me to instantly adore Kate and Logan over the phone. When we chatted I felt like we had been friends since high school versus just meeting while they commuted to work one day! When she asked to do their engagements in DC because they live there and it’s where so many fun memories are being made, I was excited!! I encourage all my couples to choose locations that are important and authentic to their life! These two are getting married down in Virginia Beach so it’s perfect to have pictures in two spots they love! When we arrived, she had a gift bag for ME of goodies and such a sweet thank you note! Most days I cannot believe the people this business has blessed me with!
We started in the canals of Georgetown (ps they are under renovation for a few years so there won’t be water for a while!) and had the perfect weather! If you’ve never been to Georgetown let me preface this…it is BUSY. It’s a bustling area of DC since the college is close and traffic can be insane. We were SO lucky to pretty much have the canal to ourselves and those who did pass us were so polite about not being in the pictures!
After Georgetown, we headed over to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Kate & Logan LOVE to go here and catch shows, concerts, events, etc so it was the perfect spot to end their session with the views of DC and a few monuments in the background! It was so fun roaming these little nooks of their life and I am SO ready to celebrate with them in June at MOCA!!
