When I look at this wedding I am quickly reminded that on your wedding day, the only thing that truly matters is you’re married at the end of the day! Brooke and Cory chose the beautiful Historic Mankin Mansion and I was so excited to shoot there!
Honestly, I had never heard about it before but that’s typical because from Richmond to DC there are SO many great venues tucked away and this one is no exception!
From the beautiful guest cottage where the girls got ready to the countless little photo op spots, the beautiful all white tent and the cafe string lights that make the most charming walk this venue is really ideal for outdoor weddings.
It just so happened to be one of the hottest days on records in the Richmond area that day!! I cannot say enough about this wedding party and how they were troopers in the heat! Not one single complaint, which I think says a lot about the friends Brooke and Cory keep! We worked really quick with limited time so no one got heat sick and thankfully this venue also has a heat/rain indoor option and the ceremony could be moved in!
The reception tent was kept nice and cool with big A/C and no one seemed to mind anyways once the party got started! Enjoy a few of my favorites!
