Historic Post Office Wedding | Brendan and Caitlin

Do you recognize these two? Their engagements last fall at Carter Mountain Orchard are some of my favorite ever because the weather was dreary but having the entire mountain to ourselves allowed us to spend so much time shooting and having incredible views of Charlottesville!

Waiting for their wedding seems like it took forever, but the truth is they’ve been waiting (along with so many friends and family members!) for this day for FAR too long! I can easily say, it was definitely worth the wait. We had cooler temperatures roll into our area that gave us the softest light (similar to their engagements!!) and made it easier to be outside! Such a change from the normal August weather.

The whole time I thought Brendan would be the one to cry during the first look, but it turned out Caitlin was the one who gave me some of my new favorite images for this moment on a wedding day. Exactly why I love first looks. This likely would not have happened during her walk down the aisle with down on one arm and surrounded by guests. Privately, they can share it!

I love that because they chose a first look we were able to do so many portraits before hand, allowing us LOTS of time for their family and just married portraits! Just beautiful light and Caitlin is one of the most gorgeous people I’ve ever met, not to mention extremely photogenic!! Makes my job easy peasy ya’ll!

Now this reception, let me tell you how CRAZY FUN this reception was. When I pulled images for the blog I had so many reception photos, which I rarely share only because my blog will get so overloaded and be slow, I had to taper them down too! I had the biggest smile on my face editing this wedding and KNOW these two enjoyed the party they FINALLY had!!!

Okay, now have the best time in the Cook Islands and take lots of pictures for me to gush over! Love you both!
