My spring wedding season kicked off last Friday with Kara and KC’s PERFECT day over at the Historic Post office and it did not disappoint!! With Kara having some experience in wedding planning, as well as a perfect blank slate venue her day was straight out of a Pinterest board!
I showed up to the cleanest and calmest bridal suite I’ve ever been in, with everyone done and ready to pop the champagne!!! She had her details are put together and the most adorable monogram cookies too!! Not only were they beautiful but they smelled delicious. Her girls slipped into their gorgeous sequined gowns from Revelry and Kara was off to her first look!! We were able to knock out nearly ALL the portraits prior to the ceremony so these two could have a few more after and enjoy their cocktail hour time! I love how they moved the reception out into the front space of venue and had the draping!! It’s the first time I’ve seen it done this way here and it was SO pretty!!!!
Opening the reception, Kara had a special dance dedicated to her parents. When they were married they never had their first dance and so she wanted them to share one at her wedding. Her parents faces were so surprised when she took the mic but I can honestly say it was one of the sweetest moments of the day!! This reception floor and photo booth stayed packed and it was SO much fun to watch them all!!
Kara & KC…<3!!!
