Caitlin and James were married on this idyllic fall day while leaves snowed around them at the gorgeous Jasmine Plantation just outside Williamsburg. James recently graduated from EVMS and moved quickly to Tennessee with his job while Caitlin followed and settled into her nursing job. She’s been planning this wedding from a distance, making several trips back, and did a fabulous job! I’m not sure I could handle all that but she’s got it down like a champ, with some help from mom and friends of course!
They were officiated by Caitlin’s brother in a sweet ceremony with personalized vows, a few laughs and a few tears, a ceremony a whole seven years in the making with the most story book autumn weather around them. I truly believe that your bridal party can dictate so much on your wedding day and you should choose the best of the best to surround you. I believe that’s exactly what James & Caitlin did. Their entire group was so happy, excited, welcoming and cooperative that it made my whole day such a breeze and the reception SO MUCH fun! The toasts were all so special and heartfelt but I think I’ve got to tip my hat to David the best man. He ended his speech with his “James I know my role says best man, but the truth is you’re the greatest man I know.”
The dance floor stayed packed and I saw some moves I’m almost certain I’ve never seen before, nobody partied like doctors and nurses!! Dance battles and sing along, pass the funk and a few slow dances all made for one heck of a party! Congratulations you Dr. & Mrs. McGuirk and enjoy Grand Cayman!!
