Oh this wedding. This bride and groom, this L O V E. Their beachside engagement session was so gorgeous, I could not wait for their big day! I can honestly say I have NEVER cried at any wedding nearly as much as I have this one. I need to back it up and say that from the minute I met these two in Starbucks I loved them. They were so genuine and sincere, the kind of love I LOVE to photograph! Jake showed up to our initial meeting and our coffee date just before the wedding. He was so incredibly excited, the word groomzilla may have slipped in there, and wanted everything to be perfect.

The week leading up to the big day it rained and rained and have I mentioned rained? Big day comes and while the wether appears to threaten it and the temperature number was high, it felt incredible outside with a perfect breeze!! Their first look was perfect, my first time crying that day. Jake was so happy I felt like he would burst! Lindsey looked incredible with her perfectly styled blonde hair and gorgeous colored jewelry, I couldn’t stop taking pictures of her!! I love a bride that throws in some fun style and Lindsey brought her whole day together with colored shoes and jewelry, you never have to stick with diamonds and pearls! If you’re an accessory girl, bring it on!!! They said I do under an altar built by Jake, between two incredible trees on the back of his parents stunning property in Chesapeake. Although thunder threatened the ceremony, it never showed up! After a few more pictures it was time to party, and let me just say this group was a PARTY! It was so much fun!! BBQ and Orange Crushes filled the tent and the DJ made sure the party went well past me leaving 😉 Jake’s dance with his mom had me ugly crying behind my camera and him crying watching Lindsey dance with her dad was seriously one of the sweetest moments I have witnessed. Add in a unity candle lighting, sparkler exit and a few keg stands this wedding was for sure one for my history!

Jake & Lindsey I just can’t tell you how much this day meant to me! To celebrate with you and document a part of your story. Your entire day reminded me that I am ALWAYS the lucky one when couples choose me. It’s beyond my pleasure to be there and I can’t thank you enough for trusting me. Enjoy Mexico!
