Five years ago today, we stood in the BLISTERING heat as the waves lapped the sand and promised to love each other forever. Me fresh out of college and from under my parents roof, you 4.5 years into your career and having been on your own for 5 years. We had ALOT to learn, but we learned it together. Sometimes it feels as if we have lived lifestimes since that sunny May day and other days I feel like I can still taste the wedding cake. We have had some days that I think there has to be a camera following us because this is too perfect and we have had days where we barely speak because we just don’t like each other that day. But through those days, I know there’s no one else I’d rather share a pillow with and I am so thankful I get to sleep next you every night(okay well 2/3 of the year!)

You have supported my dream of photography from the get go, encouraging me when I really want to sell it all off and be done. You have given me the MOST perfect little boys and even better, morphed into this father I am in awe of. You work so so hard for your family, always making sure we have what we need and want before you.

Maya Angelou said you can tell the character of a person by how they handle three things: a rainy day, lost luggage and tangled Christmas lights. You my love, handle all three time and time again so calmly, it calms me.

I know with you, the work will always make it worth it.
