When a client says they want some of their session in their back yard, I always hesitate because most people’s back yard isn’t conducive to a session BUT THIS BACKYARD….walking heart eye emoji!

Michelle and Blake have lived in this waterfront home for a few years and it is the CUTEST home and property, with the most beautiful backyard!! I love that we included the fur babies…I mean look how photogenic!!

Blake and Michelle met one night at a local bar where he boldly told her friends that Michelle (who had never met him!) liked him. After inviting him back to hang out with the group, these two stayed up late watching Golden Girls and talking all night where they felt like they had known each other forever!

Now Michelle had described her engagement ring to me, a family heirloom that was passed to her from her Nana, but Blake had it redesigned to be more modern. In my head I was like okay, pretty and sentimental my kind of jewelry but when I saw it I said “Oh my gosh your ring is incredible!!” Because it is, so photographing it for this session was so fun for me!! I can’t wait to do it again next year!!

I’ll be celebrating my eleventh wedding anniversary with these two as they say I Do at the Harbor Club in Norfolk and I cannot wait!!! Enjoy just a few of my sun soaked favorites!!!
