MileIQ

Tech Talk

2014 was a year of alot of time spent driving for my business and 2015 is shaping up to be that as well!

Don’t get me wrong, I am thrilled to do it BUT I completely failed last year at keeping track of my mileage. I was hurting trying to get it all together for my accountant and once I did it, I totally vowed that I would stay on top of it for 2015.

Now, if I can have an app for something I am 85% (I completely made up that statistic) more likely to log my info! I read about MileIQ on another photographer’s site and decided to try it out! I was hooked instantly!!! It was so incredibly easy to work, saved frequent destinations and ran in the background meaning I didn’t have to remember to turn it on!

Now, I get monthly reports and weekly reports about my drives. I save everything in a gmail folder labeled MILEAGE so at the end of the month I can log it in a spreadsheet and then at the end of the year I will be able to generate a report for my accountant! Easy peasy!

All I do is open the app, swipe left or right for business vs personal miles. I can even categorize them, “meeting/client event/meal/etc”

Have you tried it? It’s completely worth the minimal monthly fee to keep one small aspect of business easy!
