I love when I chat with a potential EMP bride on the phone and can hear the JOY pouring through her, not just about getting married but just her in general. I loved Kat instantly, she is vivacious and has this zest when you talk with her! I can easily see why Corey scooped her up and put a ring on it! She is something special!!! We planned this session so far in advance I was a little stressed about the weather the week before since it was cool and wet, but their day was GORGEOUS.We started at the Pagoda Garden in downtown Norfolk and utilized that whole area along the water! It’s one of the best spots in Norfolk for couples portraits because there are so many nooks to tuck into and the light never looks the same!

A year after these two met, they were engaged. Definitely that you know when it’s real kinda love! They are so funny together, seriously SO funny, and so comfortable to be around. They make you instantly feel like a long time friend, so it makes me even more excited for their day and to watch all the incredible people who surround them unite! They’re are planning a fall wedding at one of Hampton Roads newest wedding venues, the Historic Post Office! I was fortunate enough to visit there over the winter and it is stunning!! I also finally get to work with Jamie Leigh Events and she is helping Kat plan her dream wedding so well!
