It felt like last week I was at Rock Hill Farm in Culpeper shooting Rachel and Ben’s engagements and here I am sharing their wedding day!!! I can’t even tell you how many times we texted each other and said “I’m so excited!!” and “I can’t wait”. I just stalked the weather and it was so wonky in Culpeper so I finally just stopped looking on Friday and prayed that if it was going to rain it would wait until portraits were done.
The getting ready spaces at Rock Hill Farm are STUNNING!! So much light and white and SPACE for the girls to have hair and makeup done. I love that everything can happen on site and so Rachel was really able to enjoy her time prior to seeing Ben! Thanks to the fluid forecast, their ceremony was moved inside of the barn BUT we were able to get all of their portraits outside and just as I said “One last picture” it started to sprinkle!!! Rachel and Ben chose a forest green color scheme to compliment their venue and Ben’s Irish heritage and I loved it!! It was so fun to photograph a different color aspect in a whole new place!
Looking through these pictures just makes me smile, but not nearly as much as these two!!! Out of all their images I don’t think I have more than 20 without them smiling!! I mean they have GORGEOUS smiles and were so full of joy I felt like it was spilling out of them! Their sweet dogs stood in place of a flower girl and ring bearer, in fancy clothes too, and Rachel’s family provided some “kilted” entertainment at the reception. Not to mention I got to shoot it with me best friend and that makes it SO much fun!
Rachel & Ben I had the BEST time celebrating with you both and your friends, so much joy and happiness to start your marriage with!!!
