I love Hampton Roads, it offers me so many gorgeous areas to shoot at and the Williamsburg Winery was no exception. Their grounds provided the perfect fall leaves for Ryan, Jess and Cole’s family session. The funny thing is here, it can be cold and hot the next, dry and a monsoon two days later so when you plan a session and know that fall leaves have to be in it, you may not get that!! Thankfully, that is exactly what we got on this muggy November day! Let me chat about Jess real fast. Her name shouldn’t be a surprise to many who follow my work because she is always my first recommendation for a hair and makeup artist! She did mine for Pierson’s maternity and has done most of my engagements sessions on here! I love her work and her personality for. She’s also the one who keeps my mop looking somewhat presentable and never scoffs at me when I come in ad have no clue what I want. I trust her to do whatever she wants and know it will be great. Cole is seriously the sweetest thing and although he was woken up from a nap and we feared “the beast”, he was EXCELLENT!! The perfect little ham and earned his treat afterwards. It was beyond my pleasure to photograph what I know will be the first of many many sessions with these three! xx
