When Kalena first messaged me and included her fiance’s last name, a small lightbulb went off. Eddie was actually a friend of my baby brother!! He remembers when Maverick was an infant and we went to Tides games, they played baseball together and hung out at each others house! Such a small world (that also makes me feel incredibly old since I remember Eddie as a preteen at my parent’s house!)

When we weren’t able to do their engagements in December and rescheduled for March because we wanted better weather, I remember crossing my fingers the weather would be nice. We lucked out with such beautiful light even with some cooler temperatures.

I always love introducing people to this small area of Virginia Beach, because it’s so beautiful and such a gem. Perfect light coming off the water, empty in the evenings, and just peaceful! It really is one of the best spots for pictures in my opinion.

They’re gearing up so many exciting changes in their life: buying a house, getting married, Kalena moving onto to chiropractic college to become a chiropractor, and just getting to do things as husband and wife! Can’t wait for their summer wedding!
