This engagement session is one I will never forget! When Erica told me that her and Joe head to the Shenandoah National Park pretty much every weekend to hike and really wanted engagement there, I was ecstatic! Yes I love traveling for sessions but more so I love when a location really means something to them! I encourage all my couples to pick locations based on their personality, likes, hobbies, etc because then those images are that much more special. The weather was absolutely amazing in the mountains Saturday. Kenny and I arrived early and hung around because we’ve never been there (but will definitely head back and make plans to hike the waterfall trails!) and took in the views. Erica and Joe arrived ready to go and I could tell off the bat how the sweet personality I’ve spent time on the phone and email with was so genuine. These two together are so sweet. Their love is quiet and reserved but when Joe makes Erica laugh it is the BEST! After the park they took us down to Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill where Joe proposed. It is the quaintest little restaurant and the food was amazing!! Seriously if you’re even close to there you must try it. I loved getting to have dinner after their session and just spend more time getting to know them and their story. I’m glad their wedding is only 6 weeks away so I don’t have to wait so long to see them again!
