I think anniversaries deserve to be celebrated. Sure ten years and twenty years and so on, but can we all just recognize how much a first anniversary means too? I don’t know about ya’ll, but God bless Kenny for navigating that first year with me. We each had no clue what we were in for! It was fun and full of love, but man it was trying and full of frustrations as we both adjusted to our new roles in life. Now we laugh about all the meltdowns that happened(ahem me!) and remind people it’s not the end of the world if you bicker. Each anniversary deserves it’s own recognition for sure!
Alyssa & Matt wanted to go back to Yorktown Beach where they got married last May. Ironically, in all this gross weather we’ve been having the day was exactly like their wedding day. Now if she looks familiar, that’s because she is! Alyssa is my little sister, the fourth Carlson kid. I was and am still so happy for her and Matt. Matt is such a loved part of this family and truly brings the laughter where ever he goes! He is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and truly loves his nieces and nephews. It’s so sweet how much he cares about them! Watching your baby sister grow up is hard. You wonder who will she be, who will she love, who will love her, where will she end up, etc. So far every fear I have had about Alyssa has been quelled. She is an incredible person, so so so smart and fearless!!! The way Matt loves her, ya’ll not everyone gets that. It’s so endearing! I love how he calls her “dear” all the time, it’s the sweetest. Spending time with them for their anniversary session was so sweet. I am so blessed to be able to do this for them after all they do for me, Kenny and the boys!
