I have seen quite a few of my photographer friends get the privilege of shooting a proposal in the last year and to say I’ve been dying to do one would be an understatement!! When Jerry contacted me months ago to ask if I would like to I immediately said YES!! I met Heather and Jerry last year and did photos of them in Virginia Beach 🙂 He picked the spot, the beach where he asked her to be his girlfriend three years ago. We communicated only through snail mail and his dad’s phone if needed. two weeks before the big day we met to lay out the plan so I would know where to be!! Well, we didn’t know that their would be a band that day and the whole beach would be slammed with people enjoying the amazing weather and free concert! So needless to say, I wasn’t exactly where I wanted to be but we worked it out! I dragged my sister Katrina along with me to be my model so if Heather recognized me she wouldn’t think much of it. Success!! Heather was shocked and later told me she had thought “Poor girl, getting photos done in front of all these people!” Family and friends were there with signs and made it even more special.
