Um, how do I even start this post? First, chatting with Heather about her wedding plans literally had me starry-eyed, so I had high hopes for their engagement session!! Since I already had plans to be in Northern VA to visit my grandparents, we were able to schedule their session during that time. I used to drive by Bull Run all the time growing up, it was my dad’s preferred way of getting to my grandparents but I’ve never shot there!!!
We met at the stone house, not far from their home, and had the most incredible weather!! So breezy, cool, not miserably hot HEAVEN. At one point, we said okay we are going to will this weather into place for the wedding day because it was the most enjoyable time!
I was SO excited that Cooper got to make his debut in our session too!! When Brandon got Cooper, he changed his username to “igotanewpuppy” and Heather said she just had to meet him (the puppy)! A few weeks later, she just knew. Moved in together, bought a home and in just a few months will make it official with a last name change! Their engagement story, and all the thoughtfulness that Brandon put into it, is hands down one of my favorites!! Flying in one of Heather’s best friend to celebrate, pre planning an engagement party at a local winery and arranging for her other best friend to come up from Richmond left her in utter bliss.
Enjoy some of my favorites in this beautiful light!
