I was about an hour from home, driving north on 64 towards Charlottesville, when my phone went off. “have you checked the weather” Jessica asked and my heart kind of sank. Quickly my assistant Samantha checked it and sure enough the weather forecast at Carter Mountain Orchard in Charlottesville, VA called for rain starting at four right when we starting our session. After realizing we were both in the same area and would be to the orchard hours earlier we bumped our session, phew! I have been looking forward to this destination engagement session is such an understatement! When I casually mentioned I would be out of town in the mountains for a wedding and these two made their schedules work so we could shoot in the mountains!!! It’s incredible that we had a way to incorporate who Jessica & Cory are into their session, they love being outdoors and having adventures with each other and their fur babies. The mountain was pretty much desolate due to the threatening rain and we had the place to ourselves. It rained a bit during their session but the wind and soft fog was SO romantic.
Quite honestly, there are some people who just fit together. You know that at some point in their life, they would have found each other regardless of the obstacles. That is Jessica & Cory. The energy between them is so joyful, it’s electric and you can honestly FEEL how much they love each other. I think Samantha and I talked about it for the next two days and you can’t help but notice it looking through their images. To say I am over excited about their wedding at The Hermitage Museum and Gardens in the spring is just such an understatement. Enjoy!
