I have no clue where to start about the gorgeous that is this shoot, so let me try to start at the beginning. Last year I did a Sea Siren styled shoot with my friend Misty of Misty Saves the Day. I learned a lot from that shoot and shared some tips on how to make a styled shoot successful, either personally or professionally. Taking those notes into consideration I had an idea churning in my head. Over the last 18 months I have worked and worked to transform my business, investing in education, gear, client experience and more. So I text my friend Misty in May and said “all I can think about is doing a styled shoot….I have an idea.” and we completely spent the next 2 months engrossed in planning this luxury wedding shoot at Dover Hall Estate. Once I found my bride, her style and refinement completely influenced the shoot. We wanted something chic and modern, something luxury and that pushed the envelope for what people typically incorporate into weddings at least around me. Once we narrowed a color scheme to rose gold, merlot and grey, we set to work with other vendors. I knew I wanted to shoot at Dover Hall Estate, use Lou Stevens for makeup and have a stunning gown. All the other pieces really fell into place once we locked those in, but that’s not to say we didn’t have some hurdles. Seeing all this come together in the gorgeous great room at Dover Hall Estate really made me giddy. It is sometimes really hard to see the ENTIRE thing when you’re planning so I totally put my trust into Misty and the other professionals to piece things together to make it match my vision.
