Well my first time to the University of Virginia in gorgeous Charlottesville did NOT disappoint!!! HOLY COW this campus is amazing and I could shoot there every session without getting bored!

Add in that I got to spend nearly TWO hours with these two and it was the perfect Friday the 13! When I talked with Elizabeth on the phone we talked for at least an hour and it was the first phone meeting that I’ve cried on. She shared such special things with me, not just of Mike but of her life, and it brought me to tears!! I could not WAIT to hug her!! I felt like I had been friends with her my whole life, no awkward warms up and real hugs! Those are my kinda girls!!!

We did this engagement session exactly one year before her and Mike say I do at the chapel on campus! Mike will be finishing up law school here, they got engaged here so it was special to be there for them! It was also one of the nicest days we have had in FOREVER, so we took full advantage. Mike led us all around and shared so much of the history of the campus!! I had no idea!! The trees were blooming and the breeze was perfection!! It seemed like everyone was dressed that night (we guessed a fraternity formal!) and so the main lawn was packed with characters waiting for their party to start! It was so fun because that’s what it means to be on campus and we took full advantage. The worst part of this day? I had to wait for the drive home before I could look at pictures AND a whole year to photograph them again!!!
