Oh these two…..they are the kind of love I WANT to photograph.

They are the the finish each other sentences, own which one is dirtier and the better cook(ahem Danny), steal glances at each other, joke about ginger babies kinda love. The most sincere and authentic love there is, the kind that makes me cry behind my camera. The kind that makes me fall in love with documenting people’s lives, that kinda love.

When I arrived a the hotel room that Saturday, Lauren was done AHEAD of schedule. I can honestly say that has never happened. She was done, hair and makeup, jewelry on, rings on, ready to slide into her gorgeous dress and get going. Now, Danny….was not. He was not ready, needed to shower and would be there he said. Lauren reminded me he would likely ask someone to stop for Starbucks because when he is running late he always wants Starbucks. She said it with the most genuine smile, that I could tell while she may joke about it it’s a trait she loves. Someone who moves through life enjoying things, not rushing from task to task.

Their wedding day was straight out gorgeous. The weather was incredible, the venue picturesque. A small farm nestled in the hills of Rockville VA, donkeys and horses on site and the sweetest little nest of birds chirping away during the ceremony.  The tears her dad cried at their own first look were so genuine. Dennis kept joking about his allergies, but it was clear that the emotion os his baby girl getting married had gotten this man all choked up!! So sweet!

After a sweet ceremony that incorporated every guest, we were ready to rock some portraits and get the party started! Sleepy Hollow Farm did not disappoint. The lights strung back and forth, the perfectly distressed barn doors, the laughter and stories that poured into the ideal May night made for a wedding Lauren and Danny deserved!
