I have been SO looking forward to this wedding since I grabbed coffee with Taylor and her mom earlier this year!! Since Taylor and Cory live in the Portland area, her mo’s house turned into wedding grand central for this DIY and rustic influenced celebration!

The morning of their wedding, I woke up to some very howling gusts of wind outside my Airbnb. I text one of the bridesmaids and asked how it was on the mountain to which she replied that it was so windy they were moving the ceremony inside. I was heart-broken! I knew Taylor would be so upset because she had chosen this venue for her destination wedding because of the amazing views behind the ceremony site. After a quick stop at Wal-Mart to grab some fleece lined leggings (it was about 45* with wind chill and my skirt was not doing me any justice) and a shaky drive up the mountain road, we arrived to a hustling cabin. Everyone was buzzing with hair and makeup finishing touches and a few guys were hanging watching some TV. Taylor just kept saying she didn’t think it had hit her yet that it was her wedding day!! I asked about the ceremony, pretending I didn’t know that it had been moved BACK outside after her bridesmaids made it happen, and she was clearly bummed. I knew having it where she originally planned was going to make her so excited!! As she was getting in her Stella York princess dress(I am a sucker for a blush dress with back detail!!!) with her mom buttoning her in, I asked how her dad was. “He’s been crying all week” she said. Taylor is after all his baby girl! After the sweetest first looks, complete with tears and lots of “Oh wows!!!” Taylor had her perfect ceremony on the mountain top with the views only God can design! While we were taking pictures, I could tell she was frozen but she kept reassuring me she didn’t even care since she had her day outside!! That’s a win for bridesmaids most definitely. Their reception was cozy and warm, filled with delicious food and sweets, sparklers and the sweetest of moves from Cory’s best man!
