There have been some people I’ve met because of photography that it just seemed like fate, like we were destined to meet and become friends. Elizabeth is one of those people. From our very first phone call, where we CRIED together over just life to their engagements, her coaching me through flying fears to me crying as she recognized special family heirlooms on her bouquet this day was such a joyful one for me!

Seeing their day come together, literally in the most perfect way, was such a treat. Elizabeth has worked diligently on every tiny detail for this day and it showed.

The day started in a full house a few minutes from UVA chapel, a campus that was packed with an unexpected celebration for their recent NCAA win and it definitely made traffic a little more interesting in an already tiny section of Charlottesville! During their ceremony at the beautiful historic chapel, the most glorious light shined in illuminating Elizabeth and Michael as they finished their vows.

We quickly did a few pictures at campus and headed over to King Family Vineyard. This was my first time shooting there and I’m praying I get to work there more!!! It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, let alone worked at! The light coming through the mountain halfway through portraits was just stunning, making it so easy to photograph these two!! We headed inside for a fantastic dinner and GREAT band, who tossed in some of Michaels’ favorite 80s music. Guests were able to easily move outside for a bourbon and cigar bar too!

Elizabeth & Michael-thank you for choosing me to celebrate with you! Wishing you both the absolute BEST in the next year as you move to Texas and get to start your journey together as Mr and Mrs!
